The "NTLworld" webmail service |
The NTLworld webmail service is provided alongside their broadband service and as with a lot of the other services NTL provide it is adequate but not outstanding.
The webmail service has always been very stable, but has only a small potential for customisation. The service allows the use of signature, creation of folders for filing your emails, and automatic forwarding, but little else.
Since it is pop/smtp service it is accessible via Microsoft Outlook etc and it does come with a spam filter (which seems effective enough).
The main drawback with the service however is the size of the mailbox. Considering the size of the company you would have expected a large mailbox, but the opposite seems to be true, with "mailbox quote exceeded" messages popping up regularly when you have around 10MB in your mailbox.
Overall, though a small mailbox, the NTLworld email service is a stable and reliable email system, just don't try to send or receive too many large files. In my opinion it is best kept as a fail safe in the event of an unreliable service from your main provider. |
